Fremont Location

Seattle Language Academy is located in the Canal Centre, at 126 NW Canal Street, Suite 100, on the Fremont side of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, approximately one-third mile west of the Fremont Bridge.

Directions to Seattle Language Academy: Fremont
On foot, SLA is less than ten minutes to the heart of Fremont's business district. It is near the conjunction of Leary Way NW and 36th Street. The Burke Gilman Trail passes in front of the school.

Note: NW Canal Street is one-way (west-east).

Directions from I-5 Northbound or I-5 Southbound

• Take the NE 45th Street Exit #169 (University of Washington) and head west onto NE 45th Street.
• Drive 1 mile to Stone Way; turn left on Stone Way (south) and follow .9 miles to N. 34th Street.
• Turn right onto N. 34th Street (west) and follow to Fremont Avenue.
• From the far right lane, cross Fremont Avenue (with the Fremont Bridge on the left) and drive along the ship canal past Sound Mind and Body on the left. Here N. 34th Street becomes N. Canal Street, which curves to the right and joins N. 36th Street (Leary Way NW).
• Immediately after the curve, before reaching Leary Avenue, turn left into Pro Lab's alley and follow to the main parking lot on the right (the parking lot is available after 5:30 pm Mon-Thurs).
• The back of the Canal Centre, a three-story red-brick building, will be on your left.The rear entrance to SLA is under the covered parking area.

• Alternatively, you can park on the street at or just before the curve in N. Canal Street and walk approximately 100 yards west up the small one-way lane (NW Canal Street) that parallels Burke Gilman Trail and ends at the Canal Centre at 126 NW Canal Street.

• Exit right onto Fremont Way North (west), directly after the Aurora Bridge.
• Take a soft left onto N. 39th Street (west.)
• Continue ½ mile to the light at Leary Way NW.
• Turn left on Leary Way NW, go one block.
• Just after the bend in the road, turn right into Pro Lab's parking lot.
  (The parking lot is available after 5:30 pm Mon-Thurs).
• The back of the Canal Centre, a three-story red-brick building, looks onto the parking lot. The rear entrance to SLA is under the covered parking area.

• Before the Aurora Bridge, take a sharp right onto N. 39th Street (west).
• Cross Fremont Avenue and continue ½ mile to the light at Leary Way NW.
• Turn left on Leary Way NW, go one block.
• Just after the bend in the road, turn right into Pro Lab's parking lot.
  (The parking lot is available after 5:30 pm Mon-Thurs).

Parking Information: Fremont
Evening parking is available for SLA students in the lot behind Seattle Language Academy after 5:30 pm only. Ample street parking is available day and evening on NW Canal Street directly in front of the school; on N. Canal Street immediately east of the school (between Sound Mind and Body and the Canal Centre); on 36th Street (Leary Way NW) behind the school; and on 2nd Avenue NW and vicinity one block northwest of the school.

Note: SLA students are not allowed to park in the covered parking area at any time.

Bus Transportation: Fremont
The Fremont area is served by several Metro buses.
