Jeffrey Overstreet reads from Auralia's Colors and his new novel, Cyndere’s Midnight, with book signing to follow.
Auralia’s Colors has earned Christy Award nominations and was recommended by independent booksellers as a BookSense Notable selection upon its release in 2007. Jeffrey reads and writes full-time as a contributing editor for Seattle Pacific University’s Response magazine, and reviews films for ChristianityTodayMovies.com. He has been honored with a 2007 Spiritus Award at the City of the Angels Film Festival and an Evangelical Press Award in 2006. He is also published in magazines like Paste, Risen, Image, Relevant, Books & Culture, and SPU’s Response; and contributes to the Image website every month, and a monthly column, “Through a Screen Darkly,” to ChristianityTodayMovies.com.

Tango Performance with Cecilia Duddeck-Vilela
Born in Argentina, Cecilia Duddeck-Vilela studied piano at an early age and went on to focus on classical singing. She began her career singing many different performance styles, but felt most affected by Tango. Branching out internationally, she traveled to Berlin in 1997 to study German and returned to Europe in 2000 to tour Spain, Italy and Germany. In 2001, Cecilia moved to Hamburg to join a successful dance theater production, Sentemiento de Tango. Since then, her international performances have continued with the release of her 2006 album, Tango de Mi. She is currently adding a new level to her performance by learning Englich at Seattle Language Academy.

A Summer Benefit for the Seattle Language Academy:
Sherman Alexie is the recipient of many national awards for his work as a novelist, poet and screenwriter, including the 2007 National Book Award in Young People’s Literature for The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. He will read a selection of his own works and afterwards will be available to take questions from the audience.
