Mark Anderson
Mark Anderson has over 15 years experience teaching in the
United States and overseas. In addition to holding a M.A in TESOL
from Eastern Washington University, he has studied at Sophia University
in Japan and the Beijing Foreign Language Institute. His rich experience
includes teaching English at Tama University and Meisei University.
He has received specialized training at ETS Canada in preparing students
for the TOEFL iBT. |

Jennifer Anspach
Jennifer Anspach holds a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in TESOL from
Seattle University’s School of Teaching ESL and a B.A. from
Hampshire College in Cultural Anthropology and Photography. Jennifer
Anspach has recently returned from teaching English in Korea. She
has lived and traveled in Latin America and Europe. With a strong
background in Experiential Education, Jennifer has organized and facilitated
educational adventure programming in the Northwest for over 8 years.
Currently she is excited to combine her love of the outdoors, culture
and the arts with her love of teaching English and activity coordination
at Seattle Language Academy. |

Frank Gaul
Frank Gaul has taught English to speakers of other languages for
over twenty-five years in public and private schools. He holds a
B.A. in English from Franklin and Marshall College and a Masters
of Arts in Teaching ESL and Bilingual Education from Georgetown
University. He has studied Latin, Spanish, French and is currently
studying Italian. |

Genevieve Halkett
Genevieve Halkett is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked
as an ESOL teacher, materials developer, teacher trainer and program
coordinator for the past 15 years in Europe, Asia and the United
States. She has developed and taught a variety of courses, including
Business English, Academic English, Vocational English, Writing
Skills, and English for Specific Purposes. She has over 8 years’
experience teaching IELTS for universities and businesses and is
one of only 11 IELTS examiners certified by the British Council
and the University of Washington. |

Russel Johnson
Russell Johnson is a Seattle native recently returned from
ten years teaching in Japan. He holds a B.A. in Painting from the
University of Washington and is currently working toward a Master’s
Degree in Technology in Education through Lesley University. While
overseas he taught in language schools, companies and a nursing college.
His teaching experience ranges from academic to business to conversational
English. |

Audrey Lucero
A native of Denver, Colorado, Audrey Lucero holds a B.A. in Psychology,
a B.S. in Communications and an M.I.T. (Master’s Degree in Teaching)
with a specialty in Elementary and Spanish Education. She has been
teaching English to students of all ages since 1997 in both public
and private schools in the U.S. and abroad. |

Philip Lynch
Philip Lynch is working toward his M.A. TESOL at the University
of Washington. He comes to SLA after a decade living and teaching
English internationally. He has taught English in a variety of institutions
abroad, including private language schools and a business college.
Philip holds a B.A. in History from New York University and a TESL
Certificate from Seattle University. Philip has lived in Slovakia,
Italy and Spain. |

Laura Nelson
Laura Nelson has over 20 years experience teaching French, Italian and English as a Second Language. She holds B.A. in French and English and an M.A. in Italian from Middlebury College. She has also studied in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, the Università di Firenze in Florence, Italy, the Sorbonne in Paris, France and in 2007 at Seoul National University, Korea. Laura has held various teaching positions in Europe, most recently in Toulouse and Marseille, France and is currently pursuing the study of the Korean language at SLA and in Korea, both in Seoul and Busan. |

Janice Price
Janice Price acquired her love of languages and cultures early in
life. She grew up bilingually/biculturally in both Austria and the
U.S., has traveled and studied in Germany, France and Spain and most
recently expanded her horizons toward Asia by living and teaching
in Japan for six months. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University
in German and an M.Ed. from Westminster College, Utah. She has over
20 years teaching experience with all ages and levels of German, French,
Spanish and her current specialty, English as a Second Language. |
